I know 3-4 people that have always used 'unlimited' hosting for their hobby sites. They don't use many resources, so the limits never really get to them. Now, however, a few of em picked up a reseller account and plan on offering unlimited hosting for some ridiculous price, like $2 annually. Obviously, I know how this is going to end up. Should I even bother stopping them, or let them learn?

I am currently moving my web forum and file server site stormoverciv from siteground to a new host. I have been looking at Hostgator for hosting the files but have heard they limit the connections to MySQL, and am going to have to host my small VB forum else where and have been looking with urljet for hosting my forum. My forum is a small one but it can get busy when someone release a new mod or something. I've also looked at hostdime for hosting the forum but I'm not sure if they have any limits. Does anyone have any experience hosting forums with these companies?

I've hosted with ASO twice now. They are superb hosts. Probably the best. Most webmasters are more capable (trained in hosting mechanics) than I.
I ran afowl of ASO's forum/wiki/support system BECAUSE I am not an ubergeek. These support media are NOT accessible, at ASO, to the casual webmaster walking in with a simple-minded website. It might be prudent to check out the forum, before you buy in, to ensure this is in your league.
