Hey.
This is a weird thread probably.
My needs are modest , and for 2 years now i am very happy with my host. There are almost no downtimes and in the few times in needed support they were quick to answer.
My host is what people call quality/premium host.
The thing is - with all those hosts around i found out that i can get "more" for "less" money. And -SINCE- my needs are humble and modest i ponder if i should pay that 'more' i am paying now when there are -reputable- webhosting companies that offer more features for less price + got good reputation as well.
So the question is , should i try to switch to a cheaper(but still reputable host) or stick with mine at all costs since it's trouble free?

Hi,
I'd appreciate any help clearing up my confusion over the setup process:
In step 3 of the WHM setup ("Setup IP Addresses"), I am assigned two IP addresses.
In step 4 ("Nameservers"), I am confused about to what to do:
a) When I register my nameservers with GoDaddy, what IP address should I enter in the "Host IP 1" fields? Should I enter the addresses assigned in step 3?
b) WHM has an unchecked box called 'Add "A Entries" for all Nameservers'. It is followed by the names of my nameservers, and then the same IP address after each one. This IP address is different from the addresses assigned in step 3. Should I check this box or modify the address values?
c) WHM then has an unchecked box labeled 'Add "A Entries" for Hostname'. It is followed by the first IP address assigned in step 3. Should I check this box or modify the address value?
Thank you very much!

Well, I'm thinking about setting up a forum for my school, and I thought it would be better to go with a Vbulletin or IPB script for the forum. I don't really want to buy a lifetime license, so I looked at the IPB official hosting section and I have some questions.
Has anyone used them and know how good their hosting is?
and what is the difference between their community hosting and website hosting, both loook the same, community hosting just looks more expensive
P.S. if anyone knows of a service like this but for Vbulletin, that would also be good to know :D

Hello,
Following my request for new web host recommendations in this forum.
I decided to transfer my website from UK2 to EZPZ Hosting. I'm now going through the transfer process. I was shocked to discover that UK2 are demanding a £12.99 fee in order to process the transfer. Is this normal? I did not expect there to be a fee involved at all. And they say it will probably take 7-14 days to process (and even of that there is no guarantee) for what, as far as I understand it, is just changing the domain tag.
The amount of money is not tremendously significant, but it somehow seems morally wrong that a company can benefit from its own incompetence in this way - by providing a dodgy service from which you feel the need to transfer away.
