Looking for good host, $10-$15 a month

Hi,

I currently host my website on Bluehost. Overall I like Bluehost, but I'm getting worried by CPU throttling. I have only one website that has any real traffic, and even that is about 50 users a day. Still, I do get CPU throttling. Currently this CPU throttling is not a problem, but I am concerned that if traffic were to increase I might have trouble.

My main website is based around Wordpress, with a few plugins.

I am looking for a new web server. I only need to host one domain, and my requirements are the usual - Linux, LAMP, etc. I can't see my bandwidth being more that 1-10 Gigabytes a month any time soon, but I want to be optimistic, and have at least a 100 G limit.

Most importantly, I don't want to get CPU throttled, or worse.

Ideally I want a US-hosted site, that has 24-hour telephone support, not on a premium-rate number.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hello all

I am starting a photography business and looking for web hosting. I try to make it simple and maybe you guys/girls can point me into the right direction. The business isn't start yet so I don't know how many people be viewing my site, I can only guess.

Looking for:
  • 50-100 unique visitors per day (guess)
  • 20 GB space would be enough
  • 100 GB bandwidth (guess)
  • Need SSL for shopping cart
  • Artist nudes photographs may be on the site
  • good email system, webmail, and imap support
  • php, mysql
  • Host on the east coast (US) (Business is in Kentucky)
  • Site backup

As business I don't want spend money I don't need too, but I need good web host to keep my site up and good support.

Does the above specs push the limit of share hosting, go into more of semi-dedicated to dedicated hosting?

Thanks
-Chris H.

AVOID WEBHOSTINGSS.COM

I would like to warn people to avoid webhostingss.com, they are hackers, spammers and racists. I have been receiving numerous emails from them saying that they have successfully been hacking WHMPHP and I have also been recieving obscene, illegal and racist emails from them, yet they deny its them even though the emails are directly from their support department.

As a course of action I contacted their domain registrar and yet they don't seem bothered. Since submitting this advert webhostingss.com has removed their website but is still sending illegal emails and spam.

Webhostingstuff.com scammers?

Anyone know anything about webhostingstuff.com?

I recently discovered my company was listed on there (not by me) and had 1 very defamatory fake review. The name of the reviewer was never a customer of ours and his website does not even exist.
Normally I wouldn't care but unfortunately this review comes up directly below our own website on a google search.

I contacted the owner of webhostingstuff.com (Michael Low) asking him to remove the fake review and also remove our listing from his site altogether, but got no reply, and then found my IP address had been blocked so I could no longer view the website.
My sales director also contacted him, and also got his IP blocked and no reply.
So I posted my own review stating that the previous one was fake, this was promptly deleted. Then I asked a few of our REAL customers to post reviews to make the fake one less prominent but they all got deleted as well and all those customers also got blocked.
I have never heard of Michael Low or webhostingstuff before and he is based in another country (Singapore), so there is no personal reason behind this, so the only explanation is that he does this for financial gain, being paid by one host to make a competitor look bad.
There is certainly no legitimate reason to be posting fake reviews about a company, deleting legitimate ones and blocking IP addresses.
