Does anyone else have a packet loss when going through Telia yesterday and today? Is there a scheduled maintenance with Telia? Our servers in SoftLayer cannot connect to servers in GNAX (Atlanta) and LeaseWeb (Amsterdam).

Any web hosting provider located in the OC3 room in LA, US?

the intended targeted audience is in southeast asia.

Hi, I'm looking to get some new hosting for a scout section.

Currently we own and operate our own server, but it is under-utilised and the investment to operate it is not worth it.

At current, there are about ten websites hosted. The state webmaster runs the main website, and then there are smaller websites either in subdirectories or separate domain names run by other people. The state webmaster has sudo access and thus is able to edit everyone's websites, wheras the smaller website operators only have access to their own directories.

Some of the smaller website operators use SSH to manage their websites (updating CMS software via SVN, creating backups, etc.)

All up, we have about 5GB of content and use less than 5GB of bandwidth per month.

So I'm looking for LAMP hosting to replicate what we have at the moment. Obviously we could do it with a VPS (looking at inode or slicehost) but I was wondering if we could do it for cheaper with shared or reseller hosting.

I'm not sure if what we're running requires reseller hosting or just shared? Everything would fit under shared except the multiple ssh accounts. We don't need any of the billing or fancy stuff that reseller hosting usually provides. Does reseller hosting usually provide for multiple ssh accounts?
