Hosting
Hey all,
I am not sure if this would be the right section to post this but I thought it might be the closest to do so.
Advance apology to the mod if this is not the appropriate section.
I need to find out how I can actually provide mirror sites for my future users to download files due to their geographical location.
How can I do it?
And what do I need in order to do it?
Thanks!

What is it with the affilites from this company? My blog is getting the spammed to the he'll out of it by them - I have to keep banning ips -are they really so stupid that I will accept a post recommending a rival hoster? If I didn't do it the first time why do you think I will publish the 30th - is it a automated system you have set up?
I havevcomplained to your abuse department - but no reply. Back - all I can say is get it under control

Web hosting is the kind of service that web masters seek so that they can create their website and have it published on the World Wide Web. Website creation is done using something known as HTTP format and once it is ready to be published on the WWW, one would need to seek web hosting services so that the site can be published. First of all, you will be required to register a domain name.

I picked a hosting provider about a year ago called
hastyhost. which was all fine and good, they offered
me a $10 a year plan, that I was extremely pleased with.
THen in November, Hastyhost went out of business,
so they transferred everyone over to XE Solutions,
a different company apparently. I'm still paid up
until April, so I just stayed with them.
Ever since they switched from Hastyhost to XE Solutions,
I've had NOTHING but trouble with them.
First thing that happened, I couldn't upgrade wordpress via the admin interface, without changing permissions of my wp-content directory to 777. So I was like...what? you don't have suPHP installed? what the heck??!!
but I dealt with it, I just used SSH to upgrade wordpress and my plugins to the latest versions, instead of using the admin interface, no big deal...
but then, lastnight, I went to my site, and someone over there had restored a backup of my site from LAST MONTH! whipping out ALL my posts and comments from the last month.
OOOOOOOOOOO I was pissed!! so I contacted XE Solutions about this, and they were like, yeah one of our servers crashed.
I was like, WTF? they don't perform regular backups? they have to do a backup from a freakin month ago?!!
*sighs sadly*
anyone know of a GOOD RELIABLE shared host?
because I am really ticked off about this.
THe thing is, I can only pay for my account once a year, because I'm on Social Security disability, and don't have enough money to pay every month. Plus I have to pay with a Walmart VISA card because Medicaid checks my bank account for transactions they don't feel I should be paying for, so its alot easier for me to pay once a year, like around $10-20 a year. I'd even be willing to go up to $30 a year if I can find a decent host.
its jsut that most I've seen, want $80-100 a year, which I can't afford no way, not when your unemployed on disability, so I don't know what to do, I'm really frustrated at the moment.
I won't go with anyone who doesn't have cpanel,
and doesn't support wordpress, because my site runs primarily a wordpress blog, so they have to have support for the PHP modules that wordpress wants, like mcrypt for example. really ticks me off I've seen some hosts that don't even support gzip compresion, I'm like geez, so I don't know what to do
any suggestions?
