Stablehost.com - The best shared hosting provider I’ve ever had
Posted by: TheGameMen : Category: Hosting
This is a 14 day review on the shared webhost Stablehost.com
In business since 2002.
Would you recommend this host to anyone ? Yes defiantly
Would you buy again from this host ? Yes.
If you're too lazy to read my whole review, here's the summary :worship: Stablehost.
I came across Stablehost via the Offers section, here at WHT, when I was in need of a hoster of my new website/blog.
Signup went smoothly, however too bad they don't activate your account right away if you pay per e-check, which I can imagine tough because of the high risk of fraud.. but since I don't have a creditcard added to my Paypal account but a normal bank account, it takes a few days before money reaches my PayPal account, thus all payments are e-checks.
Anyway, apart from that, signup was flawless and instant.
I installed my website/blog (Wordpress) and everything went fine. I opened up a ticket for a small issue and it was answered professionally and resolved quickly.
After a few days, my website had become quite popular, generating about 5GB Bandwidth a day. Since I was on the smallest plan, I had to upgrade to a bigger one to not ran out of bandwidth by the end of the week, an so I did.
One day later I got moved to a new server, because the old one was having problems... If they didn't sent me an email about this, I probably never would have known about it, since I was moved with zero downtime or dataloss. Awesome !
After my upgrade, I also noticed the high serverloads (18.0-40.0 on a 4 cpu server) and thus slow page loading of my website.
I opened up a support ticket and asked what was going on. They said my website was generating the serverload and kindly asked me to move the website or else they had to suspend my account for using too much resources, which I can totally imagine, lol... one client taking up that much resources and not seeing your account suspended at a shared host is highly exceptional ! Usually you can expect to see the famous "This account has been suspended page" before you can even open a ticket.
At one point my website was even getting 30 requests per second.. ridiculous !
Anyway, I went searching for a VPS and about 48 hours the transfer was complete, relieving the serverloads of Stablehost.com... That's correct, they kept my resource hungy website still up for 48hours on a shared account.
That deserves a big THANK YOU ! if you ask me
I know more than a thousand other things Stablehost or any other shared hosting comapny w/could have done.. suspend my account, send me large bills for inconvenience I may have caused to other clients etc etc, but Stablehost did the complete opposite of what I ever could have expected: It just kept my site up and gave me the opportunity move it to a VPS without seeing my website go down or dataloss:)
Stablehost has been by far the best shared webhosting company I've been ever hosted at :agree::agree::agree:
Their uptime is great and their support is quick and professional and very helpful and it's almost true 24*7*365. What else do you expect to get for your 3 bucks ?
Thanks again guys, you rock !
